In Greene County district court Zang Thang, 31, of Indianapolis, IN, was sentenced June 24 to 10 days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of interference with official acts causing bodily injury. He was also fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge. He must pay an amount not to exceed $600 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees. In a related case in magistrate court, Thang was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge on a charge of obstruction of emergency communications. A charge of public intoxication was dismissed. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Tanisha May Dillinger, 39, of Perry, ongoing criminal conduct- influence enterprise, and controlled substance violation; James Kiefer Eberle, 28, of Dana, domestic abuse assault impeding blood/air flow causing bodily injury; and Marcus Anthony Terrell, 29, of Albia, eluding- speed 25 miles over limit- second or subsequent offense, and driving while license barred. Trial dates were set for Aug. 24 for Dillinger and Eberle, and for July 20 for Terrell.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Cole Anthony Langford, 37, of Des Moines has been charged with forgery and theft- fourth degree. The warrant was issued in August 2019 and returned June 14.
Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Royce Christopher Gonnelly, 30, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of heroin- third or subsequent offense; Raymond Tillman Bacon, 44, of Grand Junction sex abuse- third degree; Ian Graves, 22, of Jefferson, supply alcohol to person under legal age, two cases on identical charges; and Joshua Arick Rodgers, 28, of Jefferson, child endangerment- serious injury.
